James David Bailey graduated from West Virginia University's school of forestry in 1982 and worked as a forester for the state of West Virginia, where he became fascinated with the history of the Ohio Valley and the North American frontier. After returning to his hometown of Lima, in western New York in 2000, he completed work on a Masters Degree and became certified as a history teacher. There, at the Crossroads of the Indian Nations, he continues his research into the struggles of the courageous men and women who settled the North American Continent and the subsequent events that lead to the birth of a new nation.
