When President Kibaki succeeded Moi in 2002, Kenyans were optimistic and ready to forget Moi's dictatorship that was eulogized for corruption and tribalism. Yet, five years later, political leaders, the church as well as the Police Force, embraced tribalism that eventually killed more than 1,500 Kenyans and created 500,000 IDPs.

Biographie de l'auteur

About the author Moses Marango was born in Bungoma , Kenya and educated in Kimwanga R.C. then Friends' School Kamusinga before joining JKUAT for his Bsc. in Applied Mathematics and Physics. He later pursued his Msc. in Project Management & Governance at The Keller Graduate School of Management in Houston, Texas. He also studied Electronics Engineering Technology at NIT- Houston. While at JKUAT, he was elected as a student leader in various capacities and as a result, served on the Board - Faculty of Science, University Senate and Council as well. He further served on the 8-4-4 Review Commission- JKUAT Chapter. Throughout his career, Marango has fearlessly defended the voiceless and championed for the oppressed. His father worked for Kenya Railways while his mother sold eggs, sukuma wiki, and sweet potatoes at the local trading center to supplement the family income. He currently runs his business between Houston and Nairobi. He is married to Charity Alice, a Proverbs 31 woman.
