I was born on April 2nd, 1941 in the city of Philadelphia, PA. My parents were of humble means and were totally unaware of my artistic abilities. My early fascination with the guitar ( probably around 7 years of age) started with a few basic chords-which my father had taught me-and I soon discovered I had this marvelous ear that enabled me to learn and play popular songs heard on the radio. Finally, after years of inept skills and lack of musical knowledge, I began studying with various teachers which helped to develop a strong background in both playing guitar and musicianship. Most of my professional career was spent working with an assortment of bands in a wide array of nite clubs and taverns. I am a composer and have written many songs, and that special gift has enabled me to compose the musical score for this book. My career as a novelist started over 25 years ago, when I wrote a five act drama with music which never really materialized. This book, 'THE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS', is my first endeavor at such an extensive work. It was started in 2006 and finished several years later; I had, originally, intended it to be a trilogy, but, now, having written one sequel and in the midst of another, I find that this work might extend to 2 more sequels before its completion.
