Melissa Close grew up in Michigan and attended Western Michigan University where she studied Business and Marketing. Melissa and her husband, Ted, have enjoyed living in Chicago, Boston, and now reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. She enjoys being a new mommy to their daughter while continuing to enjoy time with friends and family, running, photography, and travel. Melissa works in sales in the consumer products industry for a privately-owned family company. After losing her parents, she began writing in a blog and continues to do so. This has been her way of dealing with a huge loss and an emotional yet beautiful way to honor her parents' lives while documenting this journey of healing. As a result of this tragic event, she hopes her words can comfort someone who needs reassurance they are not alone as they grieve their own loss.
