Synopsis
When newspaperman Mike Kincaid returns to his tiny hometown of Fairview, New Jersey, to attend his stepfather's funeral, he is confronted by two cops near the gravesite. The cops, following up on an anonymous tip, find a gun in Kincaid's trunk that just might be the weapon used to murder his stepfather. Hauled in for questioning, Kincaid is surprised to learn that his stepfather left a cryptic message, written in his own blood on the white Linoleum of his kitchen floor: "I killed JFK." His stepfather's final confession puts Kincaid on the path to solve the most enduring murder mystery of the 20th Century — Who killed the 35th president of the United States? The answer lies aboard a mothballed spy ship called the USS Compass Island. Buried deep within her bowels is the key to the mystery of JFK's assassination and the answers to questions that have dogged Kincaid for his entire life.
