Bernie Rabine was born in 1954, in Michigan. At the age of 19, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Facing a predicted life expectancy of two years, Bernie chose to battle his cancer with passion and a determination to live beyond his prognosis. Major surgeries, radiation therapy and attacks of other cancers have not stopped him. Bernie has been writing since his early teens, creating plays for the neighborhood children, telling stories to youngsters, and creating fantastics games with his sisters. He writes about courage, going beyond one's limits, and defying convention. Bernie and his wife, Colleen live in Midland, Michigan with their miracle family: Jonathan, Matthew and Lauren, and a mutt named Scruffy.
