As an engineer he has developed instrumentation for helicopters and high-performance aircraft, and has created a series of commercial computer and telephony products. As a business leader he has served as director, vice president and chief scientist. Now he uses business and technology as a backdrop for highly realistic and relevant fiction. Mr. Hopmann lives with his family in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
