The forward, now filled with so many serendipitous lessons I am still discovering them, was just recently re-written for Middle School Students. The original coffee table book, with 30 fine art full- color images of Florida's rockets and wild birds from Cape Canaveral, is all still there. The message in the forward for the children is also there for those who have not forgotten who they were, once upon a time. It also presents a fine opportunity for parents who might want to read it to their kids a bit younger. It is light reading, with 30 full color images, each having brief backstories that are fun to share while teaching them the importance of reading. I am not an educator, and that is why I call a Primer. I purposely concentrated on the broad concepts of cooperation and civic responsibility. I also tried my best guess at speaking in the tone of youngsters. But as an artist, I like to play with the language, and, so am not always constrained by 'grammar', trying for a more colloquial voice.

À propos de l'auteur

Lloyd was almost born in a B-17 on his way to Guantanamo Bay Naval Air Station, where he was born. It has been an interesting trip ever since. He considers himself very lucky to have lived most his life within sight of rocket launches at Cape Canaveral, and he is proud to be a Florida Boy. He writes and creates his art at Blue Sawtooth Studio, in Malabar, where he shares the flatwoods with the local birds and bunnies, and his two Australian Shepherds.
