Quilter Tonye Belinda Phillips' passion for folk art inspired her to develop a simple method for making stunning hand-appliquéd quilts. In this beautiful volume, Tonye reveals the techniques she's discovered on her quilting journey: ideas for choosing fabrics, working with colour and creating the applique shapes, as well as placing, basting and stitching them up. The 20 bright and cheerful projects include a basic basket-shaped pattern, an updated floral motif with playful spirals and a garden-themed design with watering cans.
