Peyton Cockrill Lewis is a writer and playwright who lives in Virginia. Her environmental plays for children have been performed in thirteen states across the country. Her play about James and Dolley Madison, "Mr. Madison Remembers," is available on a CD Rom from the Montpelier gift shop. Ms. Lewis has also written an historical novel, "Perilous Journey: the Founding of Nashville Tennessee 1780-81," about the role of her great-great-great grandmother who was Nashville's first school teacher.
