Shannah B Godfrey is a chemist and former scientist in the Aerospace and Tactical Missile Industry, as well as a project manager in the Armaments and Ammunitions Industry. She is currently an author of children's phonics books. She developed her own unique method of phonics instruction to teach her own 14 children how to read before kindergarten. Now she passes her wisdom and methods to other parents and educators through her wonderful books and picture-letter flash cards. Even children with dyslexia and mild learning disabilities have had no problem with reading after learning The Godfrey Method. Godfrey also has vast experience in the areas of adoption issues, working mothers, single parenting, twins, early childhood learning, foster parenting, divorce, death of a child, grieving, non-traditional returning college students, home schooling, surviving abuse, childhood bipolar disorder, ADHD, making it in the man's world, mentoring middle school-age girls, and large families, as well as reconciling science with religion and solid rocket motor chemistry.
