Dr. Jackie S. Henderson was born in Birmingham, Alabama. During her early childhood, she developed a strong love for reading which soon led to a genuine interest in writing. She has always been very active in church, particularly in the Sunday School. Among her many roles in the Sunday School is serving for fourteen years as Fulfillment Hour Superintendent at Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. Upon retiring from Emory University after seventeen years, she became co-owner of The Sunday School Doctors and owner of Your Family Research. Her education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta GA, a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta GA, and Doctor of Ministry degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville FL. She accepted the call into the ministry of God and was licensed to preach in 2009. Dr. Jackie is the co-author of the book, Fulfillment Hour: Fulfilling God's Purposes for the Church through the Sunday School Hour. Additionally, she published articles in the Baptist History and Heritage Journal and in Baptists Today. She married Chester Henderson in 1971 and they have two adult sons, Daryl and Mark Henderson.
