Solmaz Parveen is a second generation Persian American who created the Leila's Adventures series to provide her daughter a fun and interesting way to learn about Persian culture. Her diverse background, including an economics and mathematics degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco, being a full-time mother, and having a long-standing obsession with puzzles and games, helped create this creative, interactive approach to teaching children and parents about Persian culture. She currently lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband and daughter.
