Biographie de l'auteur

Joseph Stewart is a modest licensed practical nurse who served his country in the Army during Desert Storm. He has worked in various medical fi elds including microbiology, chemistry, hyperbarics, medical-surgical nursing, hematology and autopsy. He does not aspire to become a writer, and this book was written solely because he found the history of hyperbarics an interesting topic. Joseph Stewart studied the experiments of others in hyperbarics and found their theories and results to be fascinating. Joseph Stewart entered the fi eld of hyperbarics himself and soon took an interest in the history of hyperbarics, but had diffi culty fi nding this history in any single book, and so began compiling his own history of hyperbarics, which he wanted to share with other enthusiasts. As for submersibles and atmospheric suits, Mr. Stewart would say that the evolution of the fi elds go hand in hand, as submarines are pressure vessels as well.
