Synopsis

Mike Harston Was born June 7th 1954 in Chicago Illinois. He is the second child of Sam and Gloria Harston from Cotton Plant Arkansas. Mike matriated at Whistler Elementary school the went on to Graduated from Fenger High School in 1972. While at Fenger Mike lettered in Football and Baseball. Mike went on to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he played linebacker for the Golden Lions. He graduate in 1976 with a degree in Biology and a minor in art education. For the past twenty-five years he has carved out a career in the food industry as a top flight manager. While sports has represented a large part of his life Mike has allayed displayed a passion for music and writing. He is a skilled guitar player and play piano. While growing up in Chicago he was influenced by area bands who went on to greatness like Rufus, Earth Wind and Fire The Chilites, The Emotions, and The Young Holt Unlimited and many more. Mike played in a funk band with Eldevon Young Jr. who was the son of the drummer in The Young Holt Unlimited best know for their hit record Soulful Strut. This is Mike's first attempt at writing but it was driven by God who always moves us in strange ways.
