Dr. Lenetta Raysha Lee is an Adjunct Professor in the Humanities and Communications Department at Cheyney University and founder of the first Charter School in Southern Chester County, The Erin Dudley Forbes Charter School. Dr. Lee earned her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Lincoln University. Then, shortly after graduating from Lincoln University, she received a full scholarship to attend graduate school at The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State University, Dr. Lee earned a Masters degree in Language Arts with a specialty in reading. As a life long learner, Dr. Lee sought a doctoral program that would both challenge and enable her to bring all of her research concerns together. As such, in 1993 Dr. Lee enrolled in the African-American Studies Program at Temple University to pursue a PhD in African and African-American Studies. Her dissertation topic is "The Afro logical study of W.E.B. DuBois' Brownies' Book Series. Dr. Lee has dedicated her life to educating and serving others. For many years, Dr. Lee taught first grade in the Oxford and Octorara School Districts. More recently, as a tenured professor, Dr. Lee worked diligently to prepare African-American women and men for the teaching world. In her role as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Erin Dudley Forbes Charter School, Dr. Lee challenged her teachers and students to excel both in the classroom and in life.
