Synopsis

When seventeen-year-old Maggie Marland and nineteen-year- old Will Brighton explore a Chumash Indian cave in Malibu, California, they fi nd a mysterious gold coin and the centuries-old bones of Yacate, an Aztec shaman. Pleiades Rising is Christine Candland's second book. Her first novel, Topaz Woman, won awards from the London Book Fair and USA Book News.
