Synopsis

In 1894, thirteen-year-old Dent Badeau's search for his missing father takes him to Hawkinsville, Georgia. Here he finds a temporary home with the local race track manager and begins work as the town's new paperboy. Dent knows that if he can earn the trust of the town's prominent members, he may be able to find out what happened to his father. His undergraduate work is in Bible and Christian education, and he earned a master's degree in rehabilitation services from Florida State University. Cook resides in northwest Florida with his wife and daughter.
