Biographie de l'auteur

The academic author hiding behind "David Christian", after earning two post-graduate degrees, taught for almost fifty years before retiring to twenty-one years of gardening and religious studies. Like the authors of the Gospels, he is far more interested in attention to the text than to any credit that might come to him as author. Besides, there is no such thing as a single, individual author. Too many others have had important parts in influencing what the so-called "author" puts on paper. Even the author can't name them all.
