Robert Schulman enjoyed a 40-year career working in the financial services industry on Wall Street. In the early 1980s he founded and managed the derivative effort at E.F. Hutton and later managed all of the brokerage firm's retail products. After the Shearson acquisition of Hutton, Schulman developed the Retail New Product Development area as well as managed Shearson's Consulting Services Division, Shearson's Trust Services, and Option Exercise areas. He joined the first public hedge fund organization, Tremont, in 1994 as President and Chief Operating Officer, growing the fund of funds provider to a dominant player in the market. Overseeing the sale of Tremont to Oppenheimer Funds for $140 million in 2001, Schulman earned his investors in excess of 50 percent compound annual return on their stock from the public offering. In 2008, he retired to teach, coach and consult. With his wife Nancy he operates a public charity "Of Home Family and Future," located at http: //www.ofhome.org/.
