Kurt Madden has been involved as both a follower and leader in local businesses, community-based organizations, a Fortune 500 corporation and is currently the head of technology for an urban school district. He also taught as an adjunct professor at Fresno State University’s School of Business for many years. As both an employee and employer over the past 40 years, he has been in almost every position from a front-line-follower (dishwasher) to a follower-leader to a leader’s-leader to, occasionally, the CEO/President. In addition, his volunteer positions with many nonprofits and community boards over the years have ranged from event organizer to amateur brick layer to Board Chair. He has been a student of both leadership and followership for many years in a wide variety of businesses and organizations.
