Synopsis

This novel spans the years 1965 to 1995, covering Ronald Glenn's maturation. He is attracted to the worlds of modern art and modern religion. The novel consists of alternating sections which detail the narrator's involvement in a struggle over a combination bookstore-coffee house for the artistic community and his upbringing in a liberal Protestant household. His attempt at living in both worlds is developed to a satisfying resolution relevant to a contemporary thinking person.

Keith Brabender has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master's degree in English from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He works as an English instructor and a real estate title examiner. He currently lives in Indiana. His most recent publications are poems in Pedestal Magazine and Cha, An Asian Literary Journal.
