This second in a series is about BooCat, the thrice-rejected, emotionally conflicted cat rescued by the author, and who in turn rescued the author from the jaws of a poisonous copperhead snake in their house. It covers BooCat's second year of life. She lives in a household with a tiny Chihuahua with whom she is in perpetual battle, a long Dachshund she adopted as her very own personal pet, two pet birds she knows would taste very good, and a lot of guppies kept prisoner in an aquarium that she wants to free, and her human for whom she feels duty-bound to take care of. An inordinate amount of curiosity coupled with the intent upon being the Alpha resident, BooCat keeps everybody laughing. Out of her own mouth, BooCat herself gives her take on life at Wit's End Comedy Club where she makes her home. It is a laugh a minute at Wit's End and BooCat causes most of that laughter. BooCat shares the authorship with her human and she definitely tells it like it is. Claiborne), pens a weekly newspaper column (Bastrop Daily Enterprise, La.) and a monthly humor magazine column (Louisiana Road Trips). She is a former newspaper reporter, is published in "Dark and Stormy Rides Again" (Penguin Books) and "The World's Best Short Stories of All Times (Quality Paperback Books), etc. "BooCat: Dancing Naked in the Rain" is the second in the BooCat series. She is currently at work on number three, "BooCat: Living in My Lap."
