Rise of The State jumps right in with Taylor continuing to look for his son with the help of Tia, his female companion whom he rescued from the slave trade. After finding a safe haven for the rescued children with Tia, they continue their journey to locate Taylor's son.

What is left of the government since the cleansing is at war within its ranks? One general fights to maintain control of the military, activating combat bots to control the whole world. At the same time, another fights to keep the military's traditional roles as an aid to a government that no longer exists.

Rise of the State will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Will Taylor find his son? Will Dr. Torrey find a cure for the virus, which continues to kill millions?

This dystopian book series shows a futuristic zombie apocalypse in an age of artificial intelligence (A.I.) after an apocalyptic event destroys most of the world's tech.

B.A. Shields graduated in 1988 with high achievements in CAD, Advanced Computers, Robotics and a 4.0 in Logic. He then completed college courses in Basic, RPG-II and Advanced Programming. He worked for years as a systems designer and programmer as well as running his own computer business. In 2007 B.A. Shields started a robotics community online which grew to over 3,000 members within a year and is still active today with members from all over the world. B.A. Shields is currently living in Northern Michigan with his wife and children.
