Susanna Van Rose studied geology at St. Andrews University, and has served on the staff at the Geological Museum in South Kensington, London. After that institution merged with the Natural History Museum, she moved on and became an author and editor of Rockwatch, the magazine for the UK's nationwide children's geology club. Her books include Eyewitness: Volcano & Earthquake and Eyewitness: Earth.
