Margaret Lynette Sharp is a Sydney-based author: the wife of organ-builder Ronald Sharp, who is famed for his creation of the Grand Organ in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Born in Sydney in the mid-1950's, Margaret spent her early life in an inner suburb of Sydney, moving to a leafy suburb near the Georges River. This more relaxed environment was more to her liking, and she developed an appreciation of natural beauty, and a love of the outdoors. She joined the local swimming club in 1982, and is still competing with success. Her love of water extends to beaches, and she likes nothing more than swimming in the sea on a balmy day. Matriculating at barely eighteen years, she later studied Short Story Writing for four years, and Freelance Journalism for one year. A regular contributor of Letter to the Editor of her local newspaper, Margaret is interested in conservation and history. She enjoys playing the piano and piano accordion, painting in watercolour, reading, and caring for her pets. Recently, she and her husband Ron have taken up rock and roll dancing, and especially like the music of the 1950's to 1980's. Her dancing experiences have inspired several stories in her earlier books. Margaret' s books are written in easy to understand English, and are free from highly offensive language. Readers from age 25 through to 93 years have expressed their enjoyment of her style. She is currently working on a book of philosophical thoughts which she expects to release later this year.
