She graduated with a BA in Communication Arts from Loyola University in Chicago before starting a career in advertising. After a career in advertising, Catherine bought a long established creative advertising recruitment firm with a partner. During her reign, she raised over a million dollars for the AWNY foundation charities, including scholarships for students in communications throughout the country. "Caleb Takes a Ride on the Staten Island Ferry" is a rewrite of "A Staten Island Ferry Tale" which was published in 2003. She is currently working on children's biographies of George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Many days you can find Ms. St. Jean biking Manhattan or kayaking New York Harbor.
