David Samuels grew up in New Jersey and joined the Army, fighting in the Vietnam War. A helicopter gunship pilot, he was awarded the Silver Star for Gallantry in Action. After the Service he became the corporate pilot for a large corporation. He lives with his wife Elizabeth in North Carolina.
