Synopsis

In the summer heat of 2087, Erik Lyons, gifted psychic and accomplished martial artist, experiences a life changing event, when he is selected by an advanced alien species to be the only telepathic human. But the gift quickly shifts to a living nightmare after discovering he has been deceived and becomes an ensnared pawn in a bloody galaxy-wide war between the peaceful Council of Planets and the Darhan Alliance led by the Ieroga, their most terrifying and brutal carnivorous member. The confrontation shifts to the least of his fears when Erik realizes that his actions or non-actions may not only bring about the total extinction of humans, but the very existence of every life form in the galaxy. He must make the pivotal decision to evolve quickly and dramatically from his sensitive and ethical persona into a savage calculating killer. His ESP must develop into STE (Selective Telepathic Espionage) for him to have just the slimmest chance of keeping our Milky Way from being transformed back to primordial soup. Erik will still need all his martial arts skills and telepathic power to meet the challenge, and he is not sure that he has the courage or determination to pull it together and succeed in his necessary metamorphosis before it’s too late.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

About the author Dr. Linden spent of his life in many careers including multiple types of manufacturing, teaching, retail management, training, and business owner. It was his work diversity that ultimately led him to the world of Career Consulting. He has coached and counseled senior management executives around the world. His vision of seeing job search and career change as a strategic game compelled him to publish his first book, The Career Game Championships and How to Win. "Most people see the exercise of changing jobs or careers as segmented components, but like the game of chess, each piece of the process is an integral part of the whole and to really avoid stress and be in control of a successful outcome, a person must know how to play the game. Shortly after publishing Career Game, Dr. Linden was invited to co-author Finding Your Inner Strength with such noted other authors as Steven Covey, of Seven Habits fame. "Those books were great contributions to society and I've been privileged to be able to help thousands of people, but now it's time to have some fun. I've been a professional counselor, motivator, actor, singer, and artist. Now I want to take the creativity inherent in all of those and put to words the thoughts that have been brewing and wanting to be on paper. Science Fiction has always been a love of mine and I've now added my imaginative seasoning to the literary cauldron with The Sons of Apollyon."
