Synopsis

It was at this new church, Lakeside Outreach Ministries that my life really took a turn. I had so many times since my son passed, kept asking God the question, "why" I found my answer here. I met so many wonderful people who had so much pain and grief and illnesses in their lives, but, they never lost their faith in God. I began to write about my Pastor, Pastor Kenny Griffin and his church and his people, and when I did, I seen their pain, I felt their suffering. I cannot explain, but, people, even strangers began asking me to write about their loved one who had departed, and then come back to tell me how much the poem had meant to them. This had become my calling, this is what God wanted me to do, and as it became more and more widespread, my involvement with Jesus became more and more, the words were coming so fast, the insight I was seeing, only God knew what was happening to me. I would be nothing, nor would there be any written poetry without God, for when I sit down to write, I say a prayer to God, saying, "God, please give me the words to write, and He always would. That is why I call my book of poetry, GOD SPOKE/I WROTE.

Biographie de l'auteur

I was born in Campton, Kentucky, the second of ten children. We had a hard life, but a Mother who made sure that we were love. We moved a lot, but finally settled down in a little farming town called, Camden, Ohio. We were raised in church and my teachings went with me, no matter where I went. I graduated, entered the Navy where I met my husband. We have been married for 53 years, had four children, 3 sons and one daughter, Michael, Mark, Steven and Mellisa. I lost my son Mark eight years ago and the day he left me, I felt my world had now changed. I know I changed, for I almost lost my faith in God, but, God did not leave me for I now know that He had plans for me. I then moved to a Camp Ground in Santee, S.C, where my life then all changed. the Lady who ran the grounds, felt my plight and also my husbands, and she found things for him to do and became a friend to me, always there if needed. Her name is Ann Zeigler and I thank her so much. I also met on these grounds, another young lady, Shirley McLeod who took me under her wings, invited me to her church and our friendship, until the day she passed, even now her memories, will never end.
