Synopsis

One boy believes it is nine inches across the Atlantic Ocean, another desperately seeks salvation for his beloved grandfather, a Navy Cross recipient refused service in a west Texas bar, a mountain of ashes mixed with bits of bone, a blow up doll, a hungry child, an exotic dancer, a grieving rabi: these are just a few of the characters who seek universal answers to timeless questions in Mind Travels, a collection of stories by B. B. Riefner. One character, Street Norris, discovers that skin color does not matter when a person is saving a life. He learns that some friends are close enough to fight for but that others are not close enough to kill. He discovers that some good deeds really do go unpunished, that public relations and reputation are more important than truth; and ultimately that golf and God both start with the same letter.
