Best friends Keisha and Lavender find themselves locked in a friendly competition for valedictorian. As they navigate the challenges of middle school, their contrasting communication styles-one hip and colloquial, the other formal and standard-add a unique dynamic to their friendship. Beyond their academic pursuits, the girls also advocate for healthier food options at school, sparking important conversations about student well-being. This heartwarming tale explores the complexities of friendship, the power of advocacy, and the unexpected ways in which our identities and communication styles shape our experiences.
