Beginning in a punk club in the underbelly of San Francisco, Surviving Xcarion is the story of Rheannon Neves, a twenty-five-year-old guitarist with a dope habit and a string of felonies. When a dark nemesis, Xcarion, begins to strategically hunt her down in search of a locket left behind by a mother she doesn’t remember, Rheannon finds she is no longer the meanest kid on the block. From the streets of San Francisco to the Badlands outside of New Tyre, Rheannon fights to survive Xcarion. Her only allies are an 8-year-old kid running from the same bad guys, and Cryx, a war-hardened rebel leader with secrets of his own. Each complex piece of the puzzle disturbs the laws that govern reality and push Rheannon closer toward the truth about herself, her mother, and the power her locket holds.

Hi, I'm R.G. Chandler. I live in a small community near San Jose, California. My passions consist of learning as much as I can wrap my brain around, reading whatever I can get my hands on, cooking whatever my family or guest will eat, and any activity that burns a calorie—of those activities, I dig hiking and dancing the most. I earned my BA at San Jose State University and was one of the first students to graduate from their newly developed creative writing program in 2009. Not bad for a girl who earned her G.E.D. while doing a stint in the county jail. My background allows me a distinct voice, a tone one of my creative writing professors termed as: The voice from the curb. Until recently I worked for a nonprofit organization that researches and writes publications concerned with the California public education sector. I am currently taking a break from that focus to finish up my second novel. I continue to volunteer and participate in several programs dedicated to drug recovery, feeding the hungry, and providing shelter for women and children who have suffered domestic violence. If you’re interested in what I’ve got going on, please follow me on twitter @RGChandler, or check me out on FACEBOOK at: facebook.com/authorrgchandler. Or hey, if you'd like, you could always send me an email at: authorRGChandler@gmail.com
