The twelve-year-old author, Pavan Raj Gowda, is a passionate environmentalist. He is the founder of a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization, Green Kids Now, Inc. (http: //greenkidsnow.org), purposed to reach children of all ages to raise awareness and take action to care for our environment. He is also the founder of the Green Kids Conference (http: //greenkidsconference.org), where children learn, innovate, take action, and share ideas and experiences. He is an official Youth Speaker for the Biomimicry 3.8 Institute. Pavan enjoys science as much as his favorite sport, basketball, and shares his excitement through his science fictions. He loves spending time exploring the natural world with his family. Pavan believes that by learning from nature, we can also practice sustainable living. Pavan states, "I truly believe that to achieve a cleaner and healthier planet, it is not enough if one child, or one group, or one community is taking action. We need kids from all around the world from every community to take on leadership and drive their community to protect our precious planet."
