Following on from (Book One) in the series, the how-to-do, format looks into aspects of self-defence as they pertain to preservation of life, primarily against bladed attacks. However, in order to protect oneself from the most prevalent dangers of life, namely ill health & disease, keeping fit with martial-art training & conditioning, within a group of respectful fellow trainees, has proven itself throughout the centuries. If vigour is the key to self-defence, the fierceness of ki energy, its explosive magma, when thrust to the surface in defiance, will overwhelm and cut through all in its path.

"Train, Read, Research & be Enlightened!" Mark D Bishop has been an established author of martial-arts' books, zen and bodywork for over 30 years, with numerous publications under his many black belts. Since beginning to learn judo as a young teenager in England, his training and teaching in various martial arts has been in karate, aikido, kendo, kobudo, Okinawan te, T'ai-chi and Chinese boxing, etc. This life-long journey has taken him to such diverse countries as: Australia, Thailand, Sweden, France, India, China, Japan and Okinawa; the latter being "the Island of Karate", where he lived for almost two decades.
