À propos de la quatrième de couverture

Practical support for how to overcome stress

We all know what stress feels like, and indeed what it feels like when we have too much stress in our lives. Too much stress can have a negative impact on us, almost without our noticing it. It can affect our family life, friendships and other relationships, our work life and our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Written by an experienced practitioner and author ofthe popular self-help title Overcoming Stress, this introductory book can help you if stress has become a problem, using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) strategies to:

· Help you recognise what happens when you are under stress
· Change how you feel, think and act in order to regain a more balanced outlook
· Manage everyday life more effectively

Dr Lee Brosan is a consultant psychologist with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. Over her career she has been responsible for the development of psychological treatment services within the trust and has taught many other people about how best to understand and use CBT.
