Synopsis

Land of the Free is the new set of wargaming rules from Osprey that allow players to recreate the various conflicts that broke out in North America shortly prior to and just after Independence, including the French and Indian Wars, the Revolution and the War of 1812. This set of rules lets players begin their campaigns with small warbands of 10-20 miniatures of any scale and develop their forces over time, building them into armies hundreds strong. A unique system of command points and the need to carefully manage resources or risk becoming vulnerable to counter-attack have to be finely balanced against the need to gain objectives throughout the game, creating a challenging, but enjoyable environment for your armies.

À propos des auteurs

Joe Krone is an avid historical enthusiast and brought his passion to the wargaming industry early in his career. He worked for Games Workshop as a promotions and marketing manager for over six years and spent five years managing events for Battlefront Miniatures. His experiences in both the science-fiction/fantasy and historical markets have given him a broad understanding of tabletop wargaming and its mechanics. Joe has written several articles for White Dwarf and Wargames Illustrated, and contributed to the Flames of War 3rd edition rulebook.

Alan Lathwell is a freelance illustrator based in the UK. He specialises in fantasy art and has a passion for Celtic and Norse mythology, which began at an early age. He uses a mixture of traditional and digital methods to create his paintings and his work has been used to illustrate children's books, role-playing games and book covers.
