Oliver Perkins sailed a Laser 4.7 for the British team. He has written for Yachting Monthly and Practical Boat Owner, and is the author of Reading the Clouds and the Reeds Cloud Handbook as well as having updated the new edition of the late Alan Watts' seminal Weather Handbook, all published by Adlard Coles.

Tom Cunliffe has many years of experience cruising all round Europe and from the Caribbean to Russia and Brazil to the Arctic. He is an RYA Yachtmaster examiner and a training consultant for Sailing USA - the governing body of yachting in the USA. He is a regular columnist for Sailing Today, Classic Boat and Yachting World in the UK, and SAIL in the USA.

Duncan Wells is an RYA instructor and sailing school principal. He has written for many leading boating magazines in the UK and US. He is also the author of Stress-Free Sailing, Stress-Free Navigation, Stress-Free Motorboating, Stress-Free Mooring and 101 Tips for Stress-Free Sailing (Adlard Coles Nautical), which have helped countless sailors and motorboaters learn helpful boat handling and berthing techniques.
