À propos de la quatrième de couverture

What does Jungian analytic thinking have to offer us in our 21st Century interconnected world?

When Carl Jung began to explore the unconscious he soon came to realise its power. As a student and then doctor of psychiatry he came face to face with its capacity to overwhelm fragile minds. He also came to recognise its potential for healing when the energies locked away within it could, first, be released, and second, channelled in a healthy and creative way.

Jung: A Complete Introduction gives you everything you need to know in one place, setting the scene for the model Jung developed (and others further modified), applying a magnifying glass to his key theories (including what makes them distinct from those of Freud), and taking you on a journey into the human psyche and the archetypes within it as he named them. It focuses on Jungian analysis: memories, dreams and imagination, before exploring the bigger picture emerging from Jung's model and ideas.

Whether you are preparing for an essay, studying for an exam or simply want to expand your knowledge, Jung: A Complete Introduction is your essential guide.

'A gold mine of knowledge in this eminently readable book that transcends the constraints of a set formula' Ann Casement, Licensed Psychoanalyst and Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute
