Parag Khanna is the founder and managing partner of the global strategic advisory firm FutureMap. He is the internationally bestselling author of seven books including The Second World, Connectography and The Future is Asian. He has been a fellow at New America and Brookings, and served as a senior advisor to US Special Operations Forces and the US National Intelligence Council. Parag was named one of Esquire's '75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century' and featured in WIRED magazine's 'Smart List.' He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and bachelors and masters degrees from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Born in India, Parag was raised in the UAE, New York and Germany. He has travelled to more than 150 countries and has been named a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
