Synopsis

Over three thousand years ago, the legendary Celtic champion Cúchulainn was killed by order of the evil Queen Meadhbh. Fergus is a true son of his legendary father and is trained as a champion to fight and defend his people and his homeland against raids and invasions. Meadhbh is well aware of his presence vowing to end Cúchulainn's line once and for all, so Fergus is a marked man. Fortunately he has inherited many of the physical gifts that made his father the greatest of the Red Branch Knights and that combined with his hard work and dedication ensure that defeating him will not be easy. Robert Connolly was educated at the University of Notre Dame in the United States receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1977. Admitted to the practice of law in Ireland, England, Wales and the United States he is a solicitor currently practicing in Dublin. He resides with his wife Pamela in the village of Raheny just north of the Irish Capital. The author has written several books on Irish history and politics including If Walls Could Talk: Great Irish Castles Tell Their Stories and The Rise and Fall of the Irish Pub. The Legends: The Story of Fergus is the second in a series of fictional books following the lives of the two sons of the legendary Celtic hero, Cuchullain. The first, The Legends: Beginnings was published in 2009 and subsequent books will be published in the next few years. The Legends books are published in Irish-English and American-English recognising the differences in spelling, context and vocabulary.
