I am a 54 year old former professional firefighter, who writes poetry and short stories as a way to deal with the problems of paraplegia. I have a wife and three children as well as nine grandchildren. We live on a small farm in a rural area outside of Grand Rapids Michigan. I love hunting, fishing, and playing with my grandchildren as well as writing. My wife and I love to be involved with our church and our community, and often supply a petting zoo for special events.
