John Henry Hoffman, syndicated columnist and radio talk show host, has crafted this first in a series of Jace Sterling mysteries. His previous award winning short stories include "Ghost of the Tracks" and "The Sawmill Hollow Buck". This is his first full length novel. A veteran of the USMC, he resides in rural Kentucky with his wife, Terry. When not writing he enjoys fishing and bird hunting with his Weimaraner, Kaiser.
