ABOUT THE AUTHOR The author is President and CEO of A-Z Research, Inc. and still actively working as a Patent and Trademark Lawyer - a career that he pursued in 1989 at the age of 55. Prior to that career move he was an independent Technical Writer for 32 years. He spent 11 years as a Research Assistant to the Director of Armour Research Foundation Nuclear Physics Department in Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree. Born in Bangor, MI. he lived in Princeton, IL from the age of one to the age of ten where his father was Minister of the Hampshire Colony Congregational Church in Princeton until 1945. He spent four years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict with two of those years in Japan. He moved to California in 1967 and has lived there ever since. Joel has published numerous articles in The Bureau County Historical Society News Letter, The Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity Journal - The Paper Book, and the White Sands of La Jolla Weekly - The Sandpiper. This is his first book. World War II history is one of his passionate hobbies.
