Barbara Quintero has an MA in English from NYU, and has taught writing at Marymount Manhattan College, Mercy College, and Sing Sing prison. She has written numerous articles and theatre reviews for the Bedford Record Review, the Women’s News of Northern Westchester, the Pound Ridge Review, and the Gannett Suburban Newspapers. She authored the literary guide book MAXnotes on Jane Eyre. Her fiction publications include two monologues from her play Missing Pieces, in the Smith & Krause, Best Women’s Monologues, 1999. Barbara’s play The Border was a finalist in the Samuel French One-Act Play Festival in New York City, produced at Sing-Sing Prison, and translated into Spanish. Barbara currently lives in the Northern Catskill Mountains with her husband Albert and two dogs.
