Basing his theory on data obtained by searching for underground water and determining the best location for deep wells during fifty years, he reveals, in a readily comprehensible way, how water occurs in the deeper layers of the crust, and how it moves up towards the surface to form the so-called cycle of water between the subsoil and the atmosphere. Imre L. Gridi-Papp explains the causes of phenomena such as geysers, salty lakes, sulfurous lakes, landslides, lightnings, sand dunes, underground streams and others. People interested in dowsing, radiesthesical instruments and searching methods, will find in this book detailed explanations of how and why these methods and instruments really work. The author provides ways of predicting the depth, salinity and probable yield of water of a well before it is drilled. Several chapters also reveal how human health and welfare depend on the underground waters. These waters move inside the crust emitting a kind of radiation that influences all living beings. Some species need exposure to this radiation to raise their offspring. Humans are particularly sensitive and need to adjust to these radiations in order to live a healthy life. How to design an allotment of land, where to build the house, how to position the bed in the house for healthy sleeping, how to discard of city waste, are all factors to be considered. In addition, appropriate protection against lightning cannot be forgotten. IMRE LAJOS GRIDI-PAPP • Born on October 18, 1930, in Istanbul, to Hungarian parents. At that time, his father, an architect, spent some years in Turkey, on a technical mission of the Hungarian Government. • Lived in Hungary between 1932 and 1945. • Spent about three years in Germany, from 1945 to 1948. • Completed college in France, at the Toulouse State University, between 1948 and 1952 getting the college degree in 1951. • Migrated to Brazil in November 1952 and obtained the Brazilian citizenship on April 8, 1958. • Studied at the School of Agriculture “Luiz de Queiróz”, in Piracicaba. Graduated Agronomist-Engineer in 1960. • Received the degree of Doctor in Agronomy in 1971, in Piracicaba. • Worked as a research fellow specialized in Cotton Breeding and Genetics, at the Institute of Agronomy (IAC), in Campinas, from 1960 to 1976, and as the Head of the Cotton Department of the Institute until 1993. Then, he retired. • Had a basic participation in the selection of ten improved cotton cultivars, released by the IAC between 1963 and 1995. • Published about 60 scientific papers. • Was co-author of two technical books about cotton and of a Manual for Cotton Producers. • Was President of several technical committees on institutional, state and federal levels. • Represented the IAC and Brazil in several national and international research meetings. • Research associate at the North Carolina State University, USA, from August, 1967 to July, 1968. • Received rewards of “Honor to Merit” from governmental and technical entities.• Has been a consultant of EMBRAPA (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária) for fifteen years. • Has been a consultant of FMT (Fundação Mato Grosso) for six years. • Acted as an ‘ad hoc’ reviewer of three Brazilian scientific periodicals. • Has studied the art of radiesthesical survey on underground waters since 1946.
