Synopsis

Dear Jen: Elation to Devastation is a reflection of the first year of bereavement written by a devastated Mother following her Daughter's sudden death. The account follows the Author's elation of witnessing new life come into the world at the birth of her Grandaughter at the end of 2010 to the devastation of discovering her Daughter's lifeless body at the beginning of 2011 just eleven weeks later. Although the book focusses predominatory on the distressing and devastating effects of sudden loss there are some amusing recollections within the account. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be given to the British Lung Foundation to help raise awareness and fund research into the rare disease that took Jen from all who loved her. Written as a diary for her Daughter and her Granddaughter and for anyone who wishes to read it.

À propos de l'auteur

Sue Dietschmann has worked as a Nurse and Health Visitor in the South West since 2003. Sue trained as a mature student having worked as a Groom/ Qualified Riding Instructor for many years until her Daughter was two years old. Her greatest achievement has always been her two children, her late Daughter Jennifer and her Son Thomas and her proudest moment was being present at the birth of her first Grandchild in 2010. The worst moment in Sue's life has undoubtably been discovering her Daughter's body at the age of 19 next to her baby and now living with her loss.
