John Kidwell is the owner and managing partner of the Law Offices of Kidwell, Kent & Curran in Fairfax, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2002 with a bachelors degree in Political Science and immediately matriculated into the University of George Mason School of Law. Since then, Mr. Kidwell has conducted fundraising, get out the vote drives, and acted as general counsel for numerous local, state, and federal elections. He is the Vice President of Membership Services for the Fairfax County Republican Committee, and is a member of the Fairfax Legislative Committee, Fairfax Rotary Club, and Friends of Historic Centreville, as well as myriad professional organizations such as the American Bar Association. Mr. Kidwell was appointed to the Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee which informs the Fairfax Board of Supervisors on the implementation of technologies to drive the efficiency of county government. In 2013 Mr. Kidwell was selected by the Heritage Foundation of Who's Who as a pillar of the community for operation of the firm through the Great Recession while maintaining an exemplary level of pro bono cases and continued charitable contributions to the community. Most importantly, Mr. Kidwell is a family man and concerned American who does not want his children to grow up in an America worse off than his generation inherited. Therefore, pulling from his extensive education, legal and political background, Mr. Kidwell wrote Leading By Example with the aim of informing America's constituency and inspiring them to action in this pivotal time in our Nation's history.
