William Bishop is the chief executive officer and founder of The Bishop Advisory Group, LLC, a consulting company that harnesses the power of critical thinking to provide practical solutions. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he ascended to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in seven years. During his naval service, he successfully formed, trained, coached, and led integrated, cross-functional teams across a variety of platforms and combat situations to achieve complex mission objectives. He served as a leadership facilitator and later as a program manager for one of the Navy’s three enlisted leadership programs at the Center for Naval Leadership (CNL), where he designed, developed, and revised the Navy’s enlisted leadership curriculum. His dynamic and energetic style made him a highly sought and engaging facilitator. The contributions he made to CNL had a lasting impact Navy-wide, and many of his ideas and designs are still in use today. He is a doctoral student at Regent University, where he pioneered and promulgated the concept of servant networking. Mr. Bishop is a prolific author whose works have been featured in Talent Management Magazine, The Journal of Strategic Leadership, and Leadership Advance Online. Going Home: A Troop’s Guide to Successfully Transitioning to the ‘Real World,’ is his first book. He holds degrees from Excelsior College (B.S.), Regent University (MBA), and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program (Authentic Leadership Development).
