Synopsis

Create jobs to end the Second Depression by mobilizing our economy to kick our addiction to foreign oil. We can transform our transportation system to become self sufficient in energy by declaring World War III on our reliance to gasoline and diesel. The Great Depression came to an end with World War II. Ten years of record high unemployment came to a sudden halt when FDR utilized the tools provided by John Maynard Keynes to create the greatest economic engine the world has ever seen. Prosperity lasted for decades and vaulted the US into world leadership in growth. Our GDP increased by 14% every year from 1940 to 1945. That rate puts present day China to shame and is an unimaginable pace compared to our recent history. It would eliminate a threat to our National Security and help us wipe out our National Debt faster than any of the plans currently being discussed.
